DESCRIPTION:Saturdays on Main is a family friendly event held on the first Saturday of each month to feature all the fun things to see and do in the 44 blocks of the Palestine Main Street District in downtown Palestine\, Texas.\n\nWe invite you to come see the new businesses that have recently opened in historic downtown. Enjoy the exquisite model train display at the Railroad Heritage Center. Check out the seasonal Palestine Farmers Market. Spend some time browsing your favorite crafts\, antique\, and vintage shops. Visit with East Texas artists hosted throughout downtown on the ArtWalk. Sign up for unique classes as well. Be sure to take advantage of special event sales offered by many of our downtown retailers!\n\nWhen you get hungry take a break in the downtown coffee shops\, restaurants\, and bakeries. We have so much to choose from\, you are sure to find something perfect! Our downtown restaurants offer casual fine dining\, steakhouse bar & grill\, fantastic pub style food with outdoor patio seating\, authentic Mexican dishes\, sandwiches and salads\, Italian as well as Cajun delicacies. There are also plenty of sweet treats - from candy and cookies to ice cream\, snow cones\, pies\, and cupcakes.\n\nCheck local schedules for live music\, community theater plays\, and other fun activities. Finish the day admiring the historic building architecture\, and you just might get to see some of our downtown bats!
